Through the Social Housing Program (PVS), the National Housing Commission (Conavi) carries out various adequate housing works to relocate 300 families that were affected by landslides in the city of Tijuana, Baja California.

Conavi explained that, in recent years, various communities in Tijuana have been affected by landslides; which have left many families with a damaged or uninhabitable home.

Faced with this situation, the need arose to generate adequate housing for the needs of the beneficiaries of PVS. For this, previous studies have been generated for the relocation of the affected families; Due to the fact that their localities suffered severe damage that did not allow the lifting of works on the same land.

These studies have been complemented with meetings between the three levels of government; such as a work table to make agreements and feedback on the housing works in Tijuana.

Today, through the PVS, Conavi has served more than 400 families from Tijuana who were in a state of vulnerability. This when living in a house in an area at risk of collapse, or shelters and sites temporarily placed by the local government.
