CMIC highlights the importance of infrastructure financing for the country's growth

The Mexican Chamber of the Construction Industry CMIC, highlighted the importance of strengthening the country's industrial infrastructure as a fundamental part of the nation.

In Mexico and in the world there are not enough public budgets that, on their own, are enough to meet all the infrastructure needs, so in other latitudes, public-private participation schemes are used to take advantage of the various instruments of financing that can be accessed for strategic works

Given this, the CMIC called on the presidential candidates to raise in the debate how energy, road, port, railway, water, health, education and telecommunications infrastructure with urban mobility will be financed.

The decalogue of the CMIC to be considered by the presidential candidates were the following:

Reduce unproductive public spending.

Promote works with your own source of repayment.

Public - private foreign investments.

Expansion of concession titles for international roads and bridges.

Promote asset recycling schemes.

Assess behavior and retention of convenience.
