Ciudad Juárez: With a record number of industrial demand during 1Q 2021

Ciudad Juárez became, during the first quarter of 2021, the industrial market that reported the highest demand in the northwestern part of the country, surpassing Tijuana, a market that traditionally reports higher demand volumes.

Between the period January-March 2021, the industrial market of Ciudad Juárez reported a figure of 234 thousand square meters, being the second market, only behind Mexico City, with the highest demand nationwide.

Tailor-made projects, or BTS, for companies in sectors such as manufacturing, medical and automotive drove leasing numbers up. Altogether, projects of this type total almost 95 thousand square meters. For its part, the leasing in speculative projects corresponds to the almost 140 thousand square meters remaining.

In total, 17 transactions were carried out in the market, with footage ranging from 4,000 square meters to 39,000 square meters, with the average transaction being 13,000 square meters. The developers / owners who had the greatest participation in the total volume of demand in this market were: IGS, Fibra Macquarie, Axial Grupo, Intermex and Fibra Nova.
