Chihuahua was placed at the top of the top of exports at the national level, during the second quarter of the year, by selling abroad 18,645 million dollars (mdd), according to data from the National Institute of Statistics and Geography (Inegi).

In addition, according to the value of its exports, it is the federal entity that registers a greater participation in the period in question, contributing 13.9% of the national total, which was registered at 133,704.4 million dollars, a double-digit increase in its comparison. annually, 20 percent.

Then, Coahuila was placed in second position, registering exports for 15,224.9 million dollars in April-June of this year, 14% more than in the same period of 2021. Behind them were Nuevo León and Baja California, with 13,385.2 and 13,052.8 million dollars, respectively, which reported advances of 24 and 12%, in the same order at annual rate.

In fifth position was Tamaulipas, to close a top 5 monopolized by the northern states of Mexico, which reached 8,666.4 million dollars, an increase of 14% per year.

These five states account for a 51.6% share of the country's total exports in the second quarter of the year. While the remaining 48.4% was distributed among the other 27 states.

Among the sectors that highlight exports are the electrical, electronic and transport manufacturing sectors. In the latter, Coahuila, Guanajuato, Nuevo León, Puebla and Chihuahua concentrate 59% of the value of exports, of 46,352.9 million dollars, with a participation of 34.7% of the total.

For its part, the National Auto Parts Industry (INA) estimates that exports will reach 90,000 million dollars this year.
