Advanced Container and Packaging Center is inaugurated at the IECA Plantel Silao

The Governor of the State, Diego Sinhue Rodríguez Vallejo, inaugurated the Advanced Container and Packaging Center, located in the facilities of the Plantel Silao State Training Institute.

This center is a new reality in which the efforts of the Japan International Cooperation Agency JICA, the Kanepackage company and the State Government, through the State Training Institute -IECA-, concur, said the President.

This laboratory comes to fill a need of the production plant, clearly reflected in the motto of this ceremony: "Packaging does matter," he said. The Governor explained that from this place manufacturing companies will be served not only in the supply of the automotive sector, but also in industry in general and in agri-food production.

With innovation and development of knowledge, it will contribute to solving the technological needs of packaging that the industry faces. But the aspiration goes further, he said.

For all this, 25 million pesos are being invested together. There are 20 million from JICA for the equipment, and the rest are state resources for the adaptation of the Technological Nucleus and the peripheral equipment for tests on containers, said the Governor.

He added that, to reach this moment, IECA personnel have been trained in packing and packaging technologies in Japan. "My appreciation to the entire IECA work team, which has arranged the facilities of the Silao campus for the development of this Technological Nucleus."

The Governor thanked the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) for all its logistical support and the loan of the equipment and machinery for the operation of the laboratory.

Rodríguez Vallejo highlighted the participation of two great strategic allies in this project. To the Automotive Cluster of Guanajuato CLAUGTO; and the Mexican Institute of Packaging and Packaging Professionals IMPEE.

The beneficiaries of this center are: suppliers of the automotive sector, packaging manufacturing companies, as well as industry in general, exporters, logistics and transportation.
