Financing for home purchase falls 9.4% in Querétaro

Querétaro has presented urban growth in the last two years with the arrival of miles of people from CDMX; However, during March of this year, in terms of financing for the purchase of a home, 9.4% less have been requested than in the same month of 2020.

The state said that 1,326 actions were reported, while in the same period last year there were 1,464, according to the National Housing Information and Indicators System.

Regarding the total amount granted, there was also a differentiation of decrease of 1.3%; In January of the current year, 1,036.5 million pesos were given, while in the same period of 2020 they were 1,050.3 million.

The decrease comes from 2019, the year in which 25 thousand 896 shares were granted, unlike 2020 in which 24 thousand 157 of them were granted; reflecting a decline of 6.7 percent.

On the other hand, the loans awarded by Infonavit for the purchase of houses have seen an unprecedented rise. In January, 433 loans were requested in Querétaro, 41.5% more than in 2020, which were 306. Monetarily, the figure for this first month of the year is 238 million 400 thousand pesos, 52% compared to 156 million in January 2020.

According to the real estate analysis platform Solili, in Mexico City the average sale price of residences is located at 7 million 808 thousand 429 pesos, a decrease of 1.7 percent when compared to the 8 million average registered towards December of 2020.
