Bosch Rexroth inaugurates a new industrial building in Escobedo, Querétaro

Bosch Rexroth inaugurated its new plant in Pedro Escobedo, where it invested 4,300 million pesos on an area of 42,000 square meters where it will manufacture hydraulic pumps for mobile machinery, linear motion technology for applications in manufacturing mechanical engineering and factory automation, reported the company.

The firm will have greater capacity to serve the growing markets for mobile hydraulics and factory automation in North America, as well as shorten delivery routes. With the new production unit, its participation in North America is strengthened, with the purpose of providing a more efficient service to its customers.

Through the firm's localization strategy, the capacity, flexibility and solidity of supply chains is increased, according to Reinhard Schaefer, head of the manufacturing and quality area at Bosch Rexroth. With this unit, the CO2 footprint of the inputs that are produced in the region will be reduced, by shortening deliveries.

The new plant means a relevant step in Bosh's strategy in the region, added the vice president of Bosch Mexico, Eduardo Pérez. The Rexroth plant is the second Bosch production center in Querétaro; the first was recently expanded to produce components for the automotive industry.

This division of Bosch offers electrical, gear and linear motion drive and control technology, including software and interfaces for the Internet of Things; With offices in more than 80 countries and 32,000 associates, it generated sales of 7,000 million euros in 2022.
