Bosch increases operations with investment of 74 million in Aguascalientes

Bosch confirmed its investment plan for the Aguascalientes Plant, which will have a capital injection of 74 million euros.

Orlando Ramírez, vice president and manager of the Mexican plant, said he was proud of this investment, which refers to the confidence that the German company has in the country and in human capital.

The investment will be allocated to the installation and start-up of a new production line for the IPB (Integrated Power Brake) system, which integrates ESP (Electronic Stability System) technology and an electronic brake in a single module.

René Schlegel, president of Bosch México, affirmed that with this important financing for the Aguascalientes manufacturing complex, the Mobility business is strengthened with another next-generation component.

"Our commitment to our Aguascalientes plant to produce life-saving technology is confirmed," he declared.

The Bosch Aguascalientes plant began operations 27 years ago. It currently has more than 1,100 associates working on the site, dedicated to the manufacture of technologies such as iBooster, ABS and ESP.

Bosch has been present in Mexico since 1955. And in 1966, the German company established its first manufacturing plant in Toluca, State of Mexico. In addition, it expanded its presence in Mexico where it has 14 locations.

Bosch México achieved a sales volume of 2.7 billion dollars during the year 2020. And it employs more than 17,200 associates in all its sites.

Today, all four Bosch business sectors (Mobility Solutions, Industrial Technology, Consumer Goods and Energy and Construction Technology) have operations in the country.
