The executives of the BMW Group formalized the investment of the automaker in San Luis Potosí, which exceeds one billion euros, from the headquarters of the BMW headquarters in Munich, and as part of the entity's international promotional tour.

Governor Ricardo Gallardo Cardona thanked the company for its hospitality and trust in leading the entity to produce electric cars and batteries, which will open opportunities for a better future.

The governor reiterated the environmental policies that exist in San Luis Potosí that focus on continuing to receive new companies and business models.

The governor of San Luis Potosí toured the Munich plant, accompanied by BMW executives, where he mentioned that the BMW project in San Luis Potosí represents a new generation of the company and is the launch of new products oriented to global automotive technology, for this reason the importance of the firm's future plans.

“San Luis Potosí is an attractive investment destination, with political and social stability, with technological education, a population of productive age, and environmentally friendly development policies, and we are proud to be part of the global effort to mitigate the effects of climate change," he added.

The state president also highlighted that the metropolitan area of San Luis Potosí is ranked fifth in America for its economic potential, which supports assets in industrial infrastructure, energy efficiency; as well as parks and industrial zones, electrical transmission and distribution networks.

He also pointed out the transportation systems and natural gas distribution networks that exist in the entity; oil storage terminals, electricity generation projects, renewable energy generation plants and highway infrastructure, logistics with national and international projection, economy of services and quality of life.
