The Association of Industrial Parks of Jalisco (APIEJ), together with the State Government, will seek to support developers in the search for environmental certifications, to guarantee better quality, safety and environmental standards.

During the “State Crusade for the Development of Industrial Parks”, the institution presented to its members the diversity of national and international certifications that they must know to eventually implement them in their spaces.

In addition, he emphasized the importance of guaranteeing the application of sustainable processes in his facilities.

Bruno Martínez, president of APIEJ, pointed out that it is very important for companies to have certifications, and with this, take advantage of the opportunity that nearshoring represents.

The APIEJ highlighted that having this type of guarantees will be able to attract investments and talent to the city or region, contribute to sustainable economic development, promote responsible business practices, among other issues.

Additionally, it will help prevent financial and legal risks, which will benefit the long-term success of the park, especially in a framework in which they are already more aware of Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) aspects.

“Compliance with these ESG criteria is not only essential to operate in an ethical and sustainable manner, but can also attract investors, tenants and customers who value a commitment to corporate responsibility,” the agency commented.
