El Economista | January 25, 2022 |

Houses and apartments with a value between 30 and 40% cheaper compared to what is offered in other cities in the country, security, economic development and opportunities for professional growth have made Puebla an ideal place for the foreign market, explained the President of the Mexican Association of Real Estate Professionals (AMPI) Puebla section, Maricela Rodríguez Pereyra,

He explained that with these factors Angelopolis is an attractive area to invest in, which is reflected in the fact that real estate agents or agents are increasingly interested in placing advertisements on the Internet, where there are more possibilities of completing an operation.

He indicated that the security climate of the state is attracting families, especially from Mexico City and the State of Mexico, not only to live but to find job opportunities and for their children to study.

Rodríguez Pereyra explained that with a budget of 600,000 pesos you can find a suitable apartment, when in the country's capital you need 50% more to access a space.

He commented that in the case of Puebla they have more than 5,000 sales announcements and another 5,000 for real estate rentals, which shows that it is an important place for the real estate sector, which is on the rise.

The national counselor also said that the search for a house or apartment is no longer through traditional media such as newspapers, since today it is through the internet that they find what they need.

He indicated that young people between 22 and 24 years old resort to mobile teams to look for a space inside a building to rent, with an average monthly payment of 3,000 pesos.

While from 32 years onwards they want to buy houses, so they have real estate between 300,000 and 10 million pesos.

He stressed that only three out of ten real estate professionals are certified, which is why he saw positive that Puebla has a law to regulate the sector and contribute to fair competition.

In this context, he considered that giving legal certainty to the clients with whom they engage in this activity helps to have more operations, but the example of what they do in other states about promoting this type of legislation has not been followed.

He pointed out that it will help regulate the sector, because there are companies that operate illegally, since this can lead owners and buyers to carry out operations without correct appraisals and unfair commercial operations, due to the lack of an adequate negotiation process.
