American Woodmark starts a 25.6 thousand m2 industrial warehouse in Ciénega de Flores

The first stone was recently laid for the construction of the first factory in Nuevo León of the American company American Woodmark, a project that will have an investment of 45 million dollars.

These facilities will be developed in the municipality of Ciénega de Flores, a location that, according to Scott Culbreth, president and CEO of American Woodmark, was chosen after an exhaustive analysis and that will generate 300 new jobs to manufacture cabinets, kitchens, and doors; which could be up to 500.

American Woodmark manufactures more than 10 million cabinets and up to 648,000 kitchens globally annually.

In addition, Culbreth reported that the building will consist of around 25,632 square meters to increase the capacity in the kitchen and bathroom lines, the project is expected to conclude in November of this year.

Samuel Alejandro García Sepúlveda, governor of the state, mentioned that Nuevo León currently generates 8% of the national GDP, but said he was sure that thanks to the dynamism of his government, in two or three years it could increase to 11 or 12 percent.

For his part, Miguel Ángel Quiroga, mayor of Ciénega de Flores, highlighted the recent announcements of capital injections such as that of Yanfeng, and pointed out that "a lot of investment is coming to the north."
