Amazon.com Inc is getting ready to open a 1 million square feet warehouse near Mexico City, sources familiar with the project said, as part of the company's effort to increase presence in Mexico's pushing e-commerce industry.

The new warehouse it's planned to be established in Tepotzotlan, 40 kilometers north of Mexico's capital city, according to four professionals related with the project.
