Continental Announces Plant Expansion in San Luis Potosí; will invest 1,509 million pesos

The Continental company and the government of San Luis Potosí announced an investment of approximately 60 million euros (around 1,509 million pesos for the expansion of its automotive plant in the state.

The work is expected to begin in the next few days and conclude in October 2022 and it is expected to generate around 350 new jobs in the next three years, which would be added to the 650 active positions at the plant.

The resources will be used to provide about 20 thousand square meters of space for the production floor, which will be used for the manufacture of disc brakes and electronic parking brakes, all of this to supply the automotive industry in the region.

Due to its manufacturing vocation, San Luis Potosí has positioned itself during the last year as an attractive territory for the arrival of foreign investments seeking competitive industrial spaces, in price, and connectivity.

The strength of the industrial market of San Luis Potosí focuses on items such as steel, food, textiles and automobiles.

According to the real estate analysis platform Solili, the state has a supply of industrial buildings ranging from 1.8 thousand square meters to 12 thousand square meters.
