At the end of 1Q 2021, the industrial market of San Luis Potosí reported an outstanding performance in the construction sector. These are companies that decided to increase their investment in the country and expand their activities. The investment will generate greater sources of employment, in addition to strengthening its operations and its presence in the automotive industry nationwide.
The first is the German company Continental. This company has decided to invest more than 60 million euros to expand its operations in its plant located in the Colinas de San Luis Potosí Industrial Park.
The expansion will be 20 thousand square meters, which began construction during the first quarter of this year, and is expected to conclude in October 2022. It will produce disc brakes and electronic brakes, which will be supplied to BMW and General Motors. Likewise, it is estimated that this new investment will generate 350 additional jobs to the current 650.
