In October 2020, 40% of organizations in Mexico had reported productivity increasing 28% and 64% of employees working with a more flexible schedule.

At least until 2020, less than 19% of companies allowed remote work and only a few days, since in the organizations there was a lack of trust from the leader towards the collaborator.

However, after the Covid-19 crisis, flexibility became a global trend and by October 2020, 40% of organizations in Mexico had reported an increase in labor efficiency, with productivity rising 28% and 64% of employees working with a more flexible schedule.

As of May 2021, only 18% of organizations in Mexico reported increases in their efficiency levels. Some of the most relevant reasons were that work stress increased after a pandemic year by 8.1%, the working day increased by an average of 2.5 hours, as well as the fear of running out of savings or employment.

However, a fact that should not be overlooked is that 56% of employees feel more tired with this new hybrid scheme.

“The health situation revolutionized the various sectors and industries in up to 5 to 10 years. There was an accelerated growth in the digitization of work centers, a radical change in the workspace, a rethinking to make the size of companies more efficient and reduced travel times and increased profitability, as well as new forms of communication ”Said Vianey Dávalos, Senior Director of Business Strategy and Culture at Great Place to Work Mexico.

According to a survey, around 30% of their certified organizations have stated that they will not return to a physical workplace, as they broke paradigms about work at home and worker performance.
