2023 marked an important recovery for the real estate industry

Important industry figures who were summoned by En Concreto and the Mexican Stock Exchange agree that the recovery was quite slow for some sectors and that the future is somewhat complicated due to the proximity of the presidential elections.

For last year 2023, the industry presented a slow but continuous recovery, thanks to nearshoring that was part of a trigger for the country's real estate sector and the main object of investment mobilization, stated Maria Jose Fernandez, director of the Association of Real Estate Developers. (ADI).

The consulting firm Newmark shared that the office sector is recovering in some cities after the impact of the pandemic, and it was also stated that the industry sector with the help of nearshoring managed to promote the return to offices that could benefit the Mexican economy.

The ADI stated that the sector has a commitment to sustainability, since it has one that applies a 50% reduction in emissions by 2050 by real estate developers and a 10% reduction in electricity, an application of greater use of clean and sustainable energies.
